Social Science
The social sciences include all the disciplines dedicated to the scientific understanding of human behavior. Social scientists study the ways that people act and think, as individuals and as members of organized groups and societies. By understanding the patterns of human behavior and social life, social scientists can inform solutions to problems and improve the conditions under which people live, grow and develop. In social science we include: anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, linguistics, political science, international studies and, in some contexts, psychology.
